35 hours to build strong foundation of yoga asana

This course is intended to offer theory and practices of Foundation of Yoga Asana for those who want to start their yoga path. The course is held at Gaia Ashram, located at Ban That, Phen District, Udon Thani Province, Thailand.

What will you be learning in the course

  • Foundation of Yoga Asana
  • Fundamental of Pranayamas
  • Meditation and Kriya (cleanse)
  • Main groups of asanas: standing, folding forward, backbend, inversion and twisting.
  • Techniques for entering and exiting the asanas
  • How to practice safely and prevent injury, and build your own consistent practice with suitable adjustments for your body

Instructor

Wanwisa Taesuwan or Kru Tuk has been practicing yoga for over ten years.  She has been practicing Bikram Yoga(hot yoga), Jivamukti Yoga(Hatha Vinyasa), Iyengar Yoga, Yin Yoga & Hatha Yoga.

Wanwisa has completed 

1. RYS 200hr teacher training from Indian yoga alliance & International yoga alliance : 2016 in India

2. 60hr Post-graduate teaching practicum on Teaching methodology & structural alignment : 2017 in India

3. Yoga for kids & families teacher training from RCYS Rainbow Yoga : 2017 in Australia

4. RYS 100hr Yoga teacher training in teaching methodology & structural alignment : 2020 in Thailand

5. Jivamukti Yoga backbend workshop : 2018 in Australia

6. Sivananda Yoga workshop : 2019 in Thailand

7. Yoga with Wheel workshop : 2020 in Thailand

 Wanwisa has been teaching yoga overseas and in Thailand for 5 years now. She is also the founder of Yoga Together for Youth Detention Center (volunteer program) & Yoga for community. Wanwisa runs yoga retreats in Thailand, Laos & Bali as well as co teaching  TTC (Teacher Training Course) 

A part from Yoga, Wanwisa is passionate about homemade products such as soap making, Kombucha and traditional and healthy snacks.

Course fee

9,500 THB

Price includes vegetarian food, three meals a day, and dormitory accommodation throughout the course. There are limited private single rooms and double rooms available for an extra cost, please check out below for the prices.

Healthy local vegetarian and vegan food will be served by local cooks.

 

Cancelation policy

  • Cancellation 30 or more days prior to the course, Gaia Ashram refunds 100% of the fee.
  • Cancellation 15-30 days prior to the course, Gaia Ashram refunds 50% of the fee.
  • Cancellation after 15 days before the course, Gaia Ashram reserves the right to not refund the full fee.

Food & Accommodation

Accommodations :

  • Dormitory : hostel style. Mosquito nets, cushions, bedding, and blankets are provided.
  • Private rooms for an extra fee (big room 2,450 THB for course duration depending on availability at the time, Ideal for couples and/or small family). Single Room is 1,750 THB for course duration.

Toilets & showers

Showers : 

 There are two indoor shower rooms and three simple outdoor showers. The showers are separate from the dormitory and the rooms.

Toilets :

 As Gaia Ashram likes to cycle nutrient and aims to produce no waste we two dry Compost Toilets and two water based Vermi-compost toilets. The toilets are separate from the dormitory and room.

  • GAIA CAFE on our land. Here you can get your daily dose of coffee and tea, and have a look at our GAIA ESSENCE natural products.
  • The ponds to swim, enjoy boating and there is a little Sala where you can relax.
  • Internet: We provide Wi-Fi in our cafe and you usually get good reception with AIS.
  • Library and work space with desks and tables.
