Practical Permaculture - Thailand Permaculture training

This unique Thailand permaculture training covers concepts of permaculture and its principles through practical, hands-on learning.

You’ll learn theory on permaculture ethics and design principles while getting your hands dirty experiencing some key elements of permaculture in practice.

Our resident permaculture teacher will guide you through a variety of educational activities while explaining along the way. During this course, we’ll…

  • Gain an understanding of permaculture ethics and design principles
  • Practice adobe brick-making and clay plastering
  • Make our own compost and learn about composting using chickens, worms, and the 18-day Berkeley Compost Method
  • Get dirty planting in the garden while talking about sustainable ways of growing food and permaculture gardening techniques
  • Harvest food from the land
  • Learn how to make biochar (and why it’s totally magical)
  • Dig into agroforestry by exploring and cultivating our food forest–while learning how to create and maintain your own
  • Learn all about animal systems as we take care of our bees, worms, chickens, and ducks, and discover why animals can play such an important role in a permaculture system

This course is great for new permaculturists just starting out who want to learn permaculture in Thailand, as well as anyone with some background in permaculture, gardening, farming, or sustainable living, who wants to enhance both their background knowledge and their hands-on practical skills.

FOOD & ACCOMMODATION

Included in the fee is accommodation in our dormitory,
3 vegetarian/vegan meals per day, tea breaks, as well as yoga and meditation. 

We also have private accommodation available that can be booked for an additional fee.

  • Accommodation: Dormitory, hostel style. Mosquito nets, cushions, bedding, and blankets are provided.
  • Single rooms, for one guest, 1250 THB for course duration (5 nights) an extra fee.
  • Double room, 2 guests 1,750 THB for course duration (5 nights).
  • Family house, 4-5 guests or family 5,000 THB for course duration.

CANCELATION POLICY

If Gaia Ashram cancel the program We will fully refund you.

If you cancel your attendance at least 45 days prior to the course starting date We will fully refund the course fee.

If you cancel your attendance at least 30 days prior to the course starting date We will refund 70% of the course fee.

If you cancel your attendance at least 15 days prior to the course starting date We refund 50% of the course

If you cancel your attendance less than 14 days before the course starting date there will be no refund of the course fee.
