Flowful together with Gaia Ashram is offering a 3-day Weekend Course Introduction to Permaculture. It will take place June 8-10, at Gaia Ashram in Nong Khai, Thailand. We will combine theory, active design experience, and applied permaculture practice. It is a great opportunity for everyone who wants to gain more design experience that follows the permaculture principles. We will design a part on the beautiful land of Gaia Ashram. You are welcome to contribute and bring your knowledge to action right away. We want to increase your insights about permaculture design and empower and motivate you to design your own project.

Price: 4,500THB regular price including food and accommodation. We offer a few scholarships for youth and people with low income. Just drop us a message!

Where is Gaia Ashram?

Gaia Ashram is a community-based education center on Permaculture, Deep Ecology, Ecovillage Design Education and other sustainable living practices and is located in northeastern Thailand (1,5h from Vientiane), in between Nong Khai and Udon Thani.

What is permaculture?

Permaculture is a creative design process based on whole-systems thinking. It integrates land, resources, people and the environment through mutually beneficial synergies – imitating the no waste, closed loop systems seen in diverse natural systems. 

What is the Permaculture Weekend Course about?

This intensive course covers topics from gardening, sustainable housing, soil, site analysis, to permaculture design and zoning. We want to increase your insights about permaculture and empower you to create an abundant permaculture garden at your home, in your street, at a school, or in your community. We will talk about

  • Introduction to permaculture
  • How to produce fresh & organic vegetables and fruits
  • How to build up soil
  • How to cook with local ingredients
  • Introduction to natural products

Lars

Lars Blume

Practiced permaculture for the very first time in Australia and New Zealand before doing his Permaculture Design Course at the Panya Project in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Lars focus is on permaculture design, soil restoration and food production.

Karla Franielczyk

a certified permaculture designer. She’s interested in natural building, food production and social permaculture.

a social activist and a certified permaculture designer. Her main area of interests are how to be an activist and a change maker by cooking, social permaculture and natural building.
